In this episode…

Hiring tech talent is a hustle most founders would want to wish away. That is because many businesses struggle to find a good mix of talent, skills, experience, and culture fit. Filtering for these — and more — requires best practices. But that’s only one part of the problem.

When your demand for tech talent increases and you have to hire outside the US, how do you scale your hiring process to maintain a high standard of team members? At what point do you outsource your tech work or hire in-house? When is it better to buy than try to build software?

Listen to this episode of the Inspired Insider Podcast with Dr. Jeremy Weisz featuring Matt DeCoursey, CEO and Co-founder of Full Scale. They discuss the high shortage of tech talent in the US, the best practices of hiring tech talent across borders, how to plan for growth, hiring at scale, and much more.

Let’s start off with how did you originally meet Matt, your co founder.

Matt DeCoursey 3:23

I originally met Matt Watson after reaching out to him looking for some peer to peer advice related to GigaBook. And we started GigaBook a nets out in a different business. And as we exited that first business, I was more or less trying to figure out what I was going to do when I grew up, or at least that’s what it felt like. And I wanted to know, input from Matt, Matt’s highly successful software founder. And now, that meeting went by pretty quickly at a breakfast cafe. But when I really got to know Matt was when I included him to be interviewed in my book, Million Dollar Bedroom. And we became friends after that. And kind of knew pretty quickly that we were meant to do something entrepreneurial together.
