A little background about Hollis:

Hollis Carter is successfully living a life outside of the box. In this rapidly changing world we live in, it is exciting to see people like Hollis who are instrumental in changing the way we work, play, and live.

Raised outside of Atlanta, Georgia, Hollis was a born an entrepreneur, starting his own landscaping company before he had a driver’s license. He attended college in Georgia, and with some good nudging from his parents he graduated with a degree in professional sales and marketing.

Hollis has always felt called to the outdoors, and has a passion for nature. During college he worked as a white water rafting guide on the Olympic whitewater section of the Ocoee river.

During his last semester of college, Hollis and his good friend Marc, both out of action from broken ankle incidents, decided to start an online business while laid up. This opened their minds to new possibilities, seeing the flexibility and freedom of running your own business online.

Life progressed virtually overnight from sleeping on air mattresses in a friend’s living room, to making 6 and then 7 figures in the online business world practically overnight.

Hollis moved to Colorado to live right in the Rocky Mountains. Skiing became his newest adventure, and he immediately fell in love with the sport, and spent over 140 days on the slopes during his first ski season. His life now revolves around skiing, and soaking in the beauty of the snow-covered slopes.

His love of skiing has led him to work on projects in the ski industry. He has worked with Icelantic Skis, and is a founder of the ski resort community at Summit Eden Powder Mountain in Utah.

While reading Paulo Coelho’s The Alchemist, Hollis experienced an epiphany, and decided he wanted to change the way that books reach the world. Thus, Velocity House was born.

His mission became pulling the veil back from the world of publishing. Hollis desires to help anyone with a passion for their message to have the ability to bring it to the world in the form of a book.
