Integrity is important in life, but especially so in business. When hiring and managing an employee, sometimes difficult conversations have to take place. What are the best ways to handle situations where employees have acted without integrity? Are there ways to proactively deal with potential, incoming, or ongoing employees?

For Robert Hartline, those conversations begin early, namely day one. Robert likes to communicate the core values of the company immediately in a new hire class so that the importance of integrity is stressed from the beginning. In that onboarding class Robert shows examples of former employees who have acted without integrity, sometimes even leaving the job in handcuffs.

Thankfully, Robert has great experiences with employees, as well. One of the things he is really proud of is when a seasoned employee starts their own business. Even if they may end up as a competitor by starting their own wireless store, Robert will happily share with them all he knows to help them find success.
